Table Mountain, Cape Town Amazing View

Splendid South Africa

In South Africa you can celebrate special occasions in just about every way imaginable. Love cooking with friends? We’ll have a Cape Malay cooking class. Want to tick something off the bucket list? How about a celebratory shout atop Table Mountain? Enjoy the finer things? How about a full day dedicated to sampling world class wines across the vineyards of Stellenbosch? They’re all brilliant ways of seeing in a new year on the personal calendar, but your most beloved memories will be made at our final destination, Gondwana Game Reserve, where you can spend two nights living a life of luxury in the heart of the South African wilderness. Embark on up to four Big Five-spotting safari drives, pamper yourself at the Bush Spa or gather everyone around for a picnic in the sun. There’s even an infinity pool onsite, which is sometimes visited by a herd of friendly local elephants – hang around long enough and they might just pop by to wish you a happy birthday!

Coastal Croatia

Treat yourself with a birthday getaway to the shimmering Dalmatian Coast of Croatia and you can expect a week or so of pure indulgence. In Southern Europe they know how to enjoy the finer things in life, whether that means sipping on wine and slurping on oysters, or simply lounging on the hidden beaches of tiny little islands. Our eight-day itinerary starts in the historic city of Split and ends in the iconic city of Dubrovnik, but the meat in the sandwich is a sumptuous island-hopping adventure along the coast. You’ll speedboat around the island of Vis and explore the stunning old town of Korcula, before sampling Lumbarda’s unique grape varieties during a wine tasting extravaganza. Back on the mainland we’ll make our way to Dubrovnik, stopping off in the town of Ston, famous for having some of the freshest, tastiest oysters on the planet.

Blissful Bali

This island paradise is the perfect place to gather your favourite people for some pure escapism. From unique cultural experiences to serene tropical landscapes and world class hospitality, a trip to Bali can mean laid-back retreat and adventurous escape in equal measure. That’s certainly the case on our epic 12-day itinerary. You’ll start by making a traditional Balinese offering and placing it in a sacred temple, before hiking through rice paddies and rural villages, and picnicking amid hidden waterfalls. Our guide will take you to yoga and cooking classes, as well as temples and royal gardens. On day five you’ll have to make sure everyone’s alarms are set early for our sunrise hike to the peak of Mount Batur, but things get more chilled on Gili Trawangan, a tiny island where we’ll spend a few nights at a luxurious beach resort. Lounge by the pool, hit the beach or walk around the entire island – it only takes a few hours – and don’t forget to join our guide as we go snorkelling with sea turtles off the coast of the Gili Islands.

KEEN TO EXPLORE THE WORLD?

Connect with like-minded people on our premium trips curated by local insiders and with care for the world

Since you are here, we would like to share our vision for the future of travel - and the direction Culture Trip is moving in.

Culture Trip launched in 2011 with a simple yet passionate mission: to inspire people to go beyond their boundaries and experience what makes a place, its people and its culture special and meaningful — and this is still in our DNA today. We are proud that, for more than a decade, millions like you have trusted our award-winning recommendations by people who deeply understand what makes certain places and communities so special.

Increasingly we believe the world needs more meaningful, real-life connections between curious travellers keen to explore the world in a more responsible way. That is why we have intensively curated a collection of premium small-group trips as an invitation to meet and connect with new, like-minded people for once-in-a-lifetime experiences in three categories: Culture Trips, Rail Trips and Private Trips. Our Trips are suitable for both solo travelers, couples and friends who want to explore the world together.

Culture Trips are deeply immersive 5 to 16 days itineraries, that combine authentic local experiences, exciting activities and 4-5* accommodation to look forward to at the end of each day. Our Rail Trips are our most planet-friendly itineraries that invite you to take the scenic route, relax whilst getting under the skin of a destination. Our Private Trips are fully tailored itineraries, curated by our Travel Experts specifically for you, your friends or your family.

We know that many of you worry about the environmental impact of travel and are looking for ways of expanding horizons in ways that do minimal harm - and may even bring benefits. We are committed to go as far as possible in curating our trips with care for the planet. That is why all of our trips are flightless in destination, fully carbon offset - and we have ambitious plans to be net zero in the very near future.
