Sahara Desert – Epic Morocco

Let’s start with a big one. The Sahara is the world’s largest hot desert, spanning across pretty much the entirety of North Africa and crossing the borders of ten countries. It’s an unfathomably vast landscape famous the world over, but many travellers don’t think to make the most of the region’s serene, otherworldly beauty. That’s not the case on our 11-day Epic Morocco trip, which has an itinerary spanning from bustling cities to the heights of the Atlas Mountains and, yes, the Sahara itself. Your time in the desert will include a visit to a rural Gnawa village, where you’ll learn about this people’s spiritual music and unique dancing methods. You’ll tuck into a traditional Moroccan lunch before zooming across to our desert campsite. Here we’ll spend an evening wine tasting and stargazing, seemingly a world a way from reality, before waking early the following morning for a sunrise camel ride across the shapely dunes of the Sahara.

Stellenbosch vineyards in South Africa

Cape Winelands – Splendid South Africa

There are many things synonymous with Africa’s southernmost country, from the flat-topped peak of Table Mountain and the vibrant city of Cape Town to the endless safari adventures found all over South Africa. You’ll explore all of the above on our 11-day road trip along the spectacular Garden Route, but we suspect your favourite spot will be at the foot of the Stellenbosch Mountains. That’s where we’ll be staying at a gorgeous country lodge in the Cape Winelands, the country’s prestigious grape-growing region. We’ll dedicate an entire day to exploring the area’s best vineyards, courtesy of the utterly charming Franschhoek hop-on, hop-off tram, which is dedicated solely to transporting wine lovers from farm to farm. There’ll be three tastings included throughout the day, so your memories of the surrounding natural beauty will be no doubt be enhanced by the buoyancy of your mood!

African Elephant Coming To The Safari Vehicle

Maasai Mara – Immersive Kenya

If safari is what you think of when we talk about African adventures, then only one destination should be on your list in 2024. The Maasai Mara of Kenya, an extension of the Serengeti, is the ultimate destination for wildlife encounters. Our eight-day trip down the country’s Great Rift Valley takes in Aberdare National Park and Lake Nakuru, but we save the best until last in the Mara. You’ll spend a few nights at a campsite right in the heart of the savannah – you can even watch zebra trot by from the comfort of the cosy campfire – which allows us to fully immerse you in the region’s nature and culture. You’ll spend one day with a local Maasai tribe, and another exploring the Mara on safari. Keep an eye out for every member of the Big Five – lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and African buffalo – as well as hippo, cheetah, giraffe and, if you visit at the right time of year, hordes of migrating wildebeest.
