Puppies. Tropical island. The occasional cheeky cocktail. Let’s go. Now.

Yes, dreamers of all things puppies and tropical islands, you can now visit the fabulous island of Providenciales in Turks & Caicos, and play with, walk, and even adopt some overly cute rescue dogs.

So what’s the story? A charity that goes by the name of Potcake Place has devoted their time to giving homes to unwanted pups since 2005. Known locally as the super cute Potcake pups, you’ll find a jolly mix of Labrador Retrievers, German Shepherds and English Fox Terriers to run around with.

If you fancy taking a few home, you’ll have to be aged 25 or over, and be willing to commit to 10 to 15 years of adorable puppy love. The website simply states: ‘If you would like to adopt a potcake puppy, please complete the application form and we will be in contact.’

Accepted? Fabulous. All you have to do then is choose your pup and Potcake Place helps you take care of getting your brand new pup home without a scratch. You will also receive a care kit and all the necessary paperwork you need to get signed off by your air carrier. If that’s not good enough, ‘all potcakes come with all their medical information, a record card of all of their shots and information, and a vet’s health certificate.’ Sorted.

The adoption costs? There are none. All Potcakes ask for is a small donation to help them continue their great work. And if you can’t take one home, great news. Volunteer staff will let you play with the little four-legged beasts to your hearts content. We are going right now.
