The Most Instagram-Worthy Treats in Atlanta
Atlantans love their snacks, but can you blame them? The city’s home to an array of delights, including alphabet-shaped doughnuts, locally crafted pastries, and old-fashioned soft serve 69 years in the making. It’s no wonder Atlantans want to show off their city’s treats with not-so-humble Instagram posts.
Whether you’re looking to expand your palate or get a little extra attention online, these sweets will add spunk to your regimen.
A-Town Cream doughnuts at Sublime Doughnuts
It’s impossible to be disappointed by Sublime Doughnuts. Every item they offer is a feast for the tastebuds and eyes alike. The A-Town, however, sticks out because it’s loaded with thick, heavenly cream (you might need to cancel your plans for the next few hours). The A is the standard, but it comes in letters B through Z for special orders or promotions. What’s more Instagram-friendly than a donut? A donut that’s shaped as your favorite letter.

Soft serve at Zesto
A menu staple since 1949, soft serve from local fast food chain Zesto is an Atlanta icon. It’s also slightly more affordable than standard Instagram-bait fare. Options include plain cones, dipped cones with or without additional toppings, sundaes, floats, milkshakes, and Arctic Swirls. One last tip in this sweltering heat: Keep your cool and snap your photo before your ice cream melts too much.

Sweet biscuits from Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit
Charleston import Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit has cured many hangovers and foul moods with savory toppings, including sausage, fried chicken, and pimento cheese. Their saccharine toppings, however, should not go unnoticed; the peach and blackberry options are less like biscuits and more like individual servings of cobbler. Rack up Intagram likes by sharing photos of your sweet biscuits.

Sundaes at Queen of Cream
Old Fourth Ward spot Queen of Cream makes some of the city’s best ice cream—what’s more, they make it entirely from scratch. Their roster of clever and decadent flavors includes brown butter pecan, lavender honeycomb, and black pearl—a vegan blend of coconut and chocolate. Their sundaes are also an art form: Think toppings like cotton candy marshmallow fluff, lime curd, and Peruvian chocolate.

Find croissants, galettes, sables, and more at the Peachtree Road and Grant Park farmers’ markets as well as their brick-and-mortar locations at Krog Street Market and The Jane.

Milkshakes at CheeseCaked
With unicorn milkshakes aplenty and color-changing, slushy lemonade, CheeseCaked is the living incarnation of viral treats. Every CheeseCaked shake comes with festive toppings, such as cookies, cupcakes, candy ribbons, or miniature slabs of their signature cheesecake. In its short existence, CheeseCaked has taken Atlanta by storm. Something tells us their social media accounts have a lot to do with it.
