When you’re in Grenada, fresh, locally caught seafood takes center stage. Keep it simple and order a whole fish fresh from the grill or opt for succulent coconut curried conch – a local favorite. These dishes taste even better by the waterside, overlooking the impossibly beautiful ocean after a full day out at sea. We’ve hand-picked the best waterside restaurants in Grenada that you won’t want to miss.

Sip a sundowner at one of these ocean-view bars or, visit multiple bars on a longer hop when you navigate your way to Ocean Atlas by joining us on a Sailing Trip in the Bahamas or British Virgin Islands.

Bogles Round House Restaurant and Cottages

Relaxed and understated, this restaurant is a fantastic spot for unfussy food overlooking the water. Every dish is handmade by owner Roxanne, who you’ll probably meet while you’re there. Make sure you arrive with an appetite, and when you’ve had your fill of garlic shrimp, fresh buns and tender BBQ ribs, tuck into home-made ice cream or vanilla cheesecake for dessert.

Just steps away from Port Louis Marina, you’ll find this unassuming bungalow restaurant. While it doesn’t offer the best views on the island, it has good quality, authentic Grenadian food – and lots of it. Opt for the Caribbean tapas and sink your teeth into a mountain of local dishes, including green banana salad, plantains with cinnamon, curried goat, okra, and stewed pumpkin.

The Beach Club at Calabash

Take a trip to this beach restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner and enjoy fresh, cafe-style dishes and juicy salads. With its white deck, wooden awning and views straight to the sea, it is the place to be if you’re looking for casual Caribbean chic. The mature trees growing straight from the beach add to the romance and provide welcome shade from the heat of the tropical sun.

Sails Restaurant & Bar

This St George’s restaurant is all about the location. Choose a table on the deck and you’ll be right by the water, with waves lapping at the wood supports beside you. Highlights include the seafood crêpe with locally caught fish, as well as octopus, conch and the house surf and turf, topped off with friendly service and an unbeatable view of St George’s Inner Harbour.

La Plywood Beach Bar Café

Bright and vibrant, this beach shack restaurant is a memorable spot for a casual dinner and drinks. With steps leading down to the water’s edge, you can soak up the island atmosphere over rum punch cocktails and cold beers. Don’t expect fine dining – the menu is as relaxed as the setting, with fish tacos, fish sandwiches and salty fries.

Paradise Beach Club, Carriacou

Dine with your toes in the sand at this blissful beach restaurant on the tiny island of Carriacou. Sample Grenadian classics including curried conch, conch fritters and johnnycakes. If you’re in the area over the weekend, head to this spot for Caribbean Sunday brunch. It offers something extra special for yachts – if you’re moored or anchored at Sandy Island or Paradise Beach, call the restaurant, and they’ll come and pick you up.

Umbrellas Beach Bar

If you’re around Grand Anse Beach, make a beeline for this seafront bar for informal beach food at its best. Order fish tacos, sliders and buffalo wings and wash it down with creamy milkshakes and daiquiris. The bar has two levels, so you can opt for a table on the top deck and admire the view, or go for a ground floor table to get closer to the action.

The Aquarium Restaurant

With palm trees surrounding this island restaurant, it’s easy to get swept away by the secluded setting. There’s just a narrow strip of sand separating your table from the waves, so you can go for a dip while you wait for your food. Try the creamy lobster pasta or time your visit for the Sunday barbecue, with a heady mix of live music and delicious cocktails.
