In the 1950s, Farmers Market Cafe was a place where farmers could sell their produce. In 1960, the Tucker family set up a small counter in two stalls and sold light breakfasts and lunches. These stalls were originally for the farmers to have food while selling. Five years later, the stalls expanded due to increasing demand. A cafeteria opened and included tables and chairs. In 1970, farmers began delivering to businesses, which made Farmers Market Cafe even more popular. The Tucker family sold the restaurant in the 1980s but it’s stood as a local hit ever since.
